also known as: GSH, Reduced glutathione, γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinylglycine
Half-life: Short; intracellular elevation lasts hours
Glutathione is the body's primary intracellular antioxidant tripeptide. Identical to L-Glutathione; the name is sometimes used interchangeably. Injectable forms provide high bioavailability for detoxification, immune support, skin lightening, and athletic recovery. See L-Glutathione entry for full detail.
Mechanism of Action
Same as L-Glutathione: quenches ROS, regenerates other antioxidants, conjugates toxins for hepatic elimination, maintains cellular redox balance.
NAD+ supports glutathione recycling via NADPH; together they maximize antioxidant capacity.
L-Glutathione and Glutathione are the same molecule — do not double-dose.
None listed.
Storage
Refrigerate. Oxidizes quickly once reconstituted.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute with sterile water. Use immediately.
