also known as: TP-7, Tuftsin analog
Half-life: ~1–5 minutes in blood (CNS effects last 4–6 hours)
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin developed by the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow. It is classified as an anxiolytic nootropic — reducing anxiety without sedation or addiction risk — and has been approved for use in Russia and Ukraine for anxiety and asthenia.
Mechanism of Action
Modulates GABA-A receptor activity (anxiolytic action), inhibits enkephalin-degrading enzymes increasing endogenous opioid tone, and influences serotonin (5-HT) metabolism. Also has immunomodulatory effects via tuftsin-like action on macrophages.
Semax provides cognitive stimulation and BDNF; Selank provides the anxiolytic balance — the Adamax combination is based on this synergy.
Dihexa drives structural neuroplasticity; Selank provides functional anxiety relief and working memory support.
Selank for daytime anxiety; DSIP for nighttime sleep quality — comprehensive neurological support.
N-Acetyl Selank and Selank are essentially the same compound — pick one.
Adamax contains Selank — adding standalone Selank is redundant.
The blend already contains Selank.
