also known as: Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide
Half-life: ~20–30 minutes in plasma
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide that was first isolated from the thalamus of rabbits in 1977. It promotes delta-wave (deep/slow-wave) sleep, reduces stress hormones, and shows adaptogenic properties. It is used by the peptide community for sleep quality, stress, and pain management.
Mechanism of Action
Modulates hypothalamic-pituitary activity to promote delta EEG activity. Reduces CRH (corticotropin-releasing hormone), lowers cortisol, and may modulate opioid receptors to reduce pain perception and promote relaxation.
Epithalon improves circadian rhythm and melatonin production; DSIP enhances the depth of sleep — together they improve both sleep architecture and duration.
DSIP improves sleep quality which maximizes GH release from the CJC/Ipa blend.
Pinealon supports pineal gland and melatonin function; DSIP works on delta wave induction — complementary sleep stack.
None listed.
Use Selank during the day for anxiety reduction, DSIP at night for sleep — covers the full diurnal anxiety-sleep cycle.
