also known as: ACTH(4-7)PGP, Heptapeptide ACTH analog
Half-life: Minutes in blood; CNS effects last 4–6 hours
Semax is a synthetic ACTH analog (heptapeptide) developed by the Institute of Molecular Genetics (Russia). It is approved in Russia and Ukraine for stroke treatment, cognitive disorders, and as a nootropic. It powerfully upregulates BDNF and NGF, providing neuroprotection and cognitive enhancement.
Mechanism of Action
Derived from ACTH residues 4-7 with added Pro-Gly-Pro. Stimulates melanocortin receptors to upregulate BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) and NGF. Modulates dopaminergic and serotonergic systems. Exhibits neuroprotective effects against ischemic damage.
Approved in Russia for ischemic stroke treatment (1997). Multiple Russian clinical studies confirm BDNF upregulation and improved cognitive outcomes in various populations.
Semax (stimulating, BDNF) + Selank (anxiolytic, calming) = the perfect cognitive balance — basis of the Adamax blend.
Dihexa provides long-term synaptic structural changes; Semax provides acute BDNF and cognitive enhancement.
NAD+ supports neuronal energy; Semax provides the neurotrophic signaling — energetic and functional neuroprotection.
Adamax contains Semax — adding standalone Semax is redundant.
The blend already contains Semax.

Storage
Refrigerate at 2–8°C (36–46°F). Protect from light.
Reconstitution
Often supplied as nasal spray. If lyophilized, reconstitute with saline.
