also known as: 5-amino-1-methylquinolinium
Half-life: ~4 hours (estimated)
5-Amino-1MQ is a small-molecule inhibitor of NNMT (nicotinamide N-methyltransferase) that boosts intracellular NAD+ levels and shifts cells toward fat-burning. It shows promise for obesity, metabolic syndrome, and body recomposition without stimulant effects.
Mechanism of Action
Inhibits NNMT, reducing methylation of nicotinamide and raising SAM (S-adenosylmethionine) and NAD+ pools. This upregulates SIRT1, increases mitochondrial uncoupling, and reduces lipid accumulation in adipocytes.
Both raise NAD+ via complementary pathways — additive effect on mitochondrial function.
MOTS-C works downstream on mitochondrial biogenesis; 5-Amino-1MQ supplies the NAD+ substrate.
AOD9604 targets β3-adrenergic fat mobilisation while 5-Amino-1MQ targets NNMT — complementary fat-loss mechanisms.

Run GLP-1 agonist for appetite/weight loss cycle, then 5-Amino-1MQ to maintain metabolic rate during the break.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark place. Capsule/powder form; refrigerate if compounded.
