also known as: Testolone, RAD140
Half-life: ~60 hours
RAD-140 (Testolone) is a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) — a non-peptide, non-steroidal compound that selectively binds androgen receptors in muscle and bone with high affinity while showing less activity in reproductive tissues (prostate, seminal vesicles). It produces anabolic effects comparable to testosterone with fewer androgenic side effects. Note: technically not a peptide.
Mechanism of Action
Full agonist at androgen receptors in muscle and bone tissue; partial agonist or antagonist in prostate tissue. Activates AR-dependent muscle protein synthesis without the same degree of androgen-mediated effects on reproductive organs, hair follicles, or sebaceous glands.
Miller et al. (2011, ACS Med Chem Lett) first described RAD-140. Jayaraman et al. showed neuroprotective effects in Alzheimer's models. Phase 1 trials in breast cancer are ongoing.
MK-677 adds GH/IGF-1 elevation while RAD-140 provides AR-mediated anabolic action — very commonly stacked.
IGF-LR3 adds downstream mTOR anabolic signaling; RAD-140 provides AR-based muscle protein synthesis — powerful combination.
BPC-157 supports connective tissue health during RAD-140 cycles where muscle growth can outpace tendon adaptation.
None listed.
Use RAD-140 for anabolic cycle; Enclomiphene post-cycle for HPTA restoration and testosterone recovery.
Include Gonadorelin during RAD-140 cycle to help maintain testicular function.
