also known as: Thymus dipeptide, Lys-Glu, KE dipeptide
Half-life: Very short; minutes
Vilon is a synthetic dipeptide (Lys-Glu) bioregulator from the thymus series, the simplest of the Russian thymic bioregulator peptides. Despite its tiny size, it has demonstrated significant immunomodulatory, anti-aging, and anti-tumor effects in animal and preliminary human studies.
Mechanism of Action
Modulates thymic hormone secretion, supports T-cell differentiation, and reduces excessive immune activation in aging. May act as a chromatin-binding peptide despite its small size, influencing gene expression in immune cells.
Thymalin is a broader thymic extract containing Vilon-like activity; significant overlap.
Thymosin Alpha 1 is the dominant specific thymic peptide — Vilon provides broader but milder thymic support.
Use Thymosin Alpha 1 for specific T-cell immune work, then Vilon for general thymic maintenance between courses.
Storage
Refrigerate at 2–8°C (36–46°F).
Reconstitution
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water.
