GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide GH secretagogue that binds to ghrelin receptors (GHS-R1a) in the pituitary to stimulate robust GH release. It is more potent than GHRP-6 with less hunger side effect but produces a modest increase in cortisol and prolactin at higher doses.
Mechanism of Action
Selective agonist of the ghrelin/GH secretagogue receptor, triggering GH pulse release from pituitary somatotrophs. Also shows mild anti-inflammatory and gastric motility effects.
GHRH + GHRP is the most effective GH-optimizing combination — synergistic amplification of GH pulse.
